CHESTERTON'S SECRETS TO AMICABLE DISAGREEMENT

Wayne and Meg's wedding--an agreeable bunch

As a child the only arguments between my mom and dad, that I remember, involved a lot of laughing.  Both parents were middle children.  Somehow they avoided conflict if at all possible.  So it was after Chris and I had been married for two years that he asked me to please develop an opinion about something.  I was too agreeable for him. Wanting to please him, I did develop opinions. Now he is sorry for that request.  As a result we have had disagreements. I received the list below from a college professor. It may be a compilation of possible Chesterton quotes, or it could be "pseudo Chesterton." I think these suggestions would be a good way to handle disagreements.
