CHESTERTON'S SECRETS TO AMICABLE DISAGREEMENT

As a child the only arguments between my mom and dad, that I remember, involved a lot of laughing.  Both parents were middle children.  Somehow they avoided conflict if at all possible.  So it was after Chris and I had been married for two years that he asked me to please develop an opinion about something.  I was too agreeable for him. Wanting to please him, I did develop opinions. Now he is sorry for that request.  Below are Chesterton's secrets to amicable disagreements.  Chris disagrees with these suggestions while I agree with them:
