My eight-year-old
granddaughter amazes me. The other day I
was talking to my daughter about changing my hairstyle because of an insulting
comment somebody made to me. My
granddaughter listened and then said,”MeMa, it’s more important what’s on the inside
than what’s on the outside!” She was
right. The comment is something that I
should just let go.
I have, in the past, put
mouth before brain and made comments that were not appropriate myself. In James 3:8 it says, “…but no man can tame
the tongue. It is a restless evil, full
of deadly poison.” But knowing that God has started a good work in me and He
will complete it comforts me, (Philippians 1:6.) Also, there is no condemnation in Christ
Jesus, (Romans 8:1.) All we have to do
is admit our sin and turn from it and God will forgive us. If we seek forgiveness from others and seek
to live in peace with others as much as it is possible for us, that is all God
asks of us (Romans 12:18.) I will trust
God to work on what is inside me! I am
blessed to have such a wonderful granddaughter!
