About Me

My photo
Flyaway
I began this blog, "Overcoming Our Genes," in 2011. My children were tired of hearing family stories over and over. They suggested that I write them down so they could read them when they had time. The main reason I would tell these stories is so that my children would realize that our family had a certain genetic tendency toward things like self righteousness, passiveness, anxiety, complaining, and other sins. Everyone sins. We all need to overcome our genes. I hope to show in this blog how God loves us and helps us to overcome our genes. My husband, Chris, says he has overcome his jeans--he can only fit into one pair now.
